First I'd like to say thank you to everyone who sent me a
Christmas card and all of that! It really means a lot!
Christmas was just amazing. :) one of the best moments on my
mission. I was able to talk to Ash and my family :) It was hard to get it
going, but when we finally did it was amazing and so much fun! :) the hardest
thing I've had to do in a while, was pushing end. I ugly cried for a while
after. It was so hard.
BUT HEY! It was so happy to see my family! Just saying goodbye
was so hard, espeically leaving everyone in tears.
On a happier note, here's a cool thing! You know the Amish?
Well, we were on our way to eat dinner the day after Christmas at a place that
someone gave us a gift card to called Yoders. While we were driving we saw the
Amish on their bikes.
We tried a bunch of times to get a pic... and we did! Haha until
we realized that Yoders is AN AMISH restaurant. Weird at first..... but let me
tell you. Their food is SO GOOD.
The show- Man vs. Food... that guy apparently went there. They had
a ton of pics everywhere of him eating the pies and fried chicken. So, that's
what we got! It was super good! For the record, don't come to Florida to try
this chicken haha.... it wasn't THAT much better than normal fried chicken. It
actually tasted pretty much the same. The fries and mac and cheese were good
though! And the pie. Yep. We got a whole pie. Peanut Butter Chocolate. AH! So
good. We loved that actually.
I love this ward! So much! Everything about it is so wonderful.
We've had to really learn to be patient still, cuz there isn't much work right
now. A lot of potential, but we won't see it grow for a while.
I ate a Florida orange right off a tree. It was SO GOOD. SO
good. We made a bunch of OJ with it. I thought I'd just taste the same as the store,
but it's a lot better!
We've been talking to a lot of old less actives in our ward
lately. It's been a lot of fun to hear all their stories! But I've had to learn
patience, and when you're so tired and always moving, sitting for 2 hours
listening is pretty hard! But I've gotten better at it that's for sure!
Being a missionary rocks more than anything.
This church is so true.
I love it :) ;) :)
Love,
Sister Calder :)
