DAVID GOT BAPTIZED ON
TUESDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't even know if I can explain my happiness! :D
Ah.
Best. Day. EVER! :D
I really wish everyone could just feel like this all the time!
It
hasn't worn off all week ;)
David is the first person that I've seen go all the way through
and
change his whole life around in 2 weeks to be baptized! You
always
hear those miracle stories, it's just so humbling and special to
be a
part of it all!
Our bishop said he doesn't think he's ever seen someone so happy
to be
baptized. :) David was grinning from ear to ear the whole time.
It was a really small baptism. Mainly because we haven't had
ward
counsel for 2 weeks because of Mothers Day and the temple
dedication,
and that's about how much time it took us to get him prepared
for his
baptism :) but it was really spiritual. We tried really hard to
bring
the spirit and people could feel it :) this was Sister Orfilas
last
day :( but it was so special :) all 3 of us sang "I am a
Child of God"
while I played the piano. Oh man. It was just great :) he was so
happy
and that's all that really matters :)
Our ward has been really amazing in reaching out to David! He
keeps
telling us that he's so happy to be a part of a big family! And
he
really is! When he received the Holy Ghost yesterday he was
glowing :)
everyone came and introduced themselves to him. He also relieved
the
priesthood. So cool. :)
Sister Orfila has gone back to temple square :( perks of being
by
President- he took us out to Golden Corral with the other temple
suare
sister and her comp and all the senior couples! It was really
fun!
We fulfilled out life long dream of catching a duck.
But we don't have a picture.... We will get one though!
Transfer calls are Saturday!
We have this cool new system that our mission president made up.
It's
called "RAIN." It is a system to rain on all the seeds
we planted! We
get peoples emails and put them into a system where the office
elders
send out a spirally uplifting email every couple of weeks. The
cool
thing is that they keep track of everything so I could get an
email in
10 years telling me that one of my seeds was planted!! Cool eh?
Anyways. :) seeing other people coming to Christ is the coolest thing
in the world. And the happiest I've EVER been! :) I gave a talk
on
Sunday about the blessings of being a missionary work, and the
main
thing I could think of was always having the spirit, and having
true
joy :) ah. I love it.
The gospel is completely true!!! :D
I love you guys!
Love, Sister Calder :)

"What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us,
who can be
against
us?"
